Galli Lead the Way in the Morning Squad at the Masters

East Greenbush, NY March 6, 2021 - The New York State USBC Masters kicked off at 9:30 AM with 60 bowlers hitting the lanes. Ryan Galli from Binghamton lead all scorers rolling a 1260 for 5 games to put him more 110 pins ahead of second place. Galli bookended his series with 269 in the first and last games.

Second place was Jim Thomas, also from Binghamton with high game of 247 in route to 1146. Preston Oaks of North Adams was third with a high game of 369 for 1133.

Other bowlers advancing to finals round were Robery Danzy (Menands) 1104, Ryan Karabin (Scotia) 1104, Matt Fazzone (Schenectady) 1095; Scott Zalud (Cohes) 1066, Ryan Ladlee (Troy) 1053, Matt Swiatocha (Scoita) 1040, RJ Martinez (Ballston Spa) 1031, Kyle Haines (Altamont) 1026 and Rebekah VanScoyk (Kingston) 1019.

The bowlers were competing on a 40-foot challenge pattern designed by Kegel exclusively for this event. There is a second squad bowling at 1:00 also with 60 bowlers competing and top 12 advancing to the final. The winner of this event, in addition to the estimated $2000 prize check will also receive an entry into the 2022 USBC Masters along with $200 in expenses.
