Brewster, NY – One of New York State USBC’s premier events will return to Long Island in 2023, when Herrill Lanes in New Hyde Park will host the 33rd New York State Masters. The event will be held on March 4, 2023, kicking off at 9:30 AM.

“That sounds amazing, I know the Island bowlers will be thrilled for it to be back again.” LIUSBC President Diana Walter stated when asked about Herrill hosting the event.

The last time the event was held in Long Island was 2017 at Farmingdale Lanes. There was a one of the largest turnouts in the event’s history, and was won by Long Island native Rob Gotterbarn Jr. of Garden City.

Bowlers will compete in two qualifying squads (9:30 AM and 1:30 PM). The qualifying squads will consist of five games across 10 lanes. One of every five bowlers in each squad will advance to the Match Play Round. Match play is two game single elimination matches until a champion is crowned. Entry fee is $100 per bowler.

The Champion for this event, in addition to the estimated $2,000 prize money, will receive a paid entry into the 2024 USBC Masters at a site to be determined later.
