New York State Youth Leader Tournament & Meeting

Date Posted: September 27th, 2021

Kingston, NY – The New York State Youth Leaders will host a Singles Scholarship Tournament on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Sportman’s Bowl, 1632 Crane St in Schenectady.  Bowling will start at 1:30 p.m. and will be separated into three different division: Classic – bowlers averaging 196 and above, Scratch – bowlers averaging between 175 and 195, Handicap – bowlers averaging 174 or below.

In addition to the bowling, there will also be an information session about how to become a Youth Leader and what the organization does for bowlers in New York State. Anyone interested on becoming a Youth Leader is encouraged to attend the meeting and possibly win some money for college.

The Youth Leaders are an organization recognized by the USBC and have been part of New York State Bowling for many years. It’s a great way for the young bowlers to see what goes on behind the scenes at tournaments and other state events. Some members served as directors with their local, state and national organizations. One of our former Youth Leaders, Frank Wilkinson, was even President of USBC.

Youth leaders serve a key role in their organization and are a part of the Future for Our Sport.
