Updates on Centers Re-Opening

Date Posted: August 17th, 2020

Today is a good day for bowling in New York State, after 5 long months centers are allowed to re-open. The NYS USBC is looking through the guidelines and will reach out to Governor Cuomo's staff to get more information.

Here's what we know for now.

🎳 Bowling centers may open at 50% capacity

🎳 Staff and patrons must wear masks and stay socially distant (at least 6 feet away)

🎳 Every other lane must be dark (closed)

🎳 Food and Beverage outside New York City will be limited to wait service. As Cuomo said "you go to them, they don't go to the bar. They don't go concession."

🎳 Food and Beverage in New York City is still not allowed due to indoor dining restrictions.

🎳 Through cleaning/sanitizing of all rental equipment before and after public use.

🎳 Patrons need to stay with the party at their assigned lane.

We are looking into how every other lane being dark will affect league/tournament play. Once we have more information we will pass is it along.

Please keep checking www.bowlny.com for updates. You can also reach out to your local associations or contact the NYS USBC at (845) 363-1374 or  bowlnysusbc@gmail.com.
