Van Gorden Leads the Way in Day 2

Utica, NY October 18, 2020 - Day two of the 42Nd Annual NYS Open Senior Championships got off to an early start today and 39 bowlers competed throughout the day in Central New York. Leading the pack was Dennis “Butch” Van Goden from Cicero coming out of the gate with a 280 in doubles.
Van Gorden also rolled 246 and 254 for a 780 series. He then went to the other side of the house for singles and shot 205 – 267 – 279 for a 751 series to claim the top spot in Class E.
Mike Autin from Montgomery proved the early bird catches the worm, rolling 278 – 240 – 255 for a 773 series in the 9:00 AM squad. He is the current leader in Class D
More stars of the day Tony Cacckello from Ravena 223 – 649, John Sickles from Ravena 236 – 623, Maryanne Faranda from Queensbury 220, and Scott Ingersoll from Ramsen 243 – 697.
There are more squads on Saturday October 24 at 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM and Sunday October 25 at 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM at AMF Pin-O-Rama Lanes in Utica. Please note the 9:00 AM squad on October 25 has been cancelled.
Walk-ons are accepted in each squad if space permits, each event is $30 per bowler with and optional 6-game combine for $10. You can bowl doubles only, singles only or both doubles and singles.
