Wiley & Pitts Both Roll 300 to Close Out Event

Utica, NY October 25, 2020 – Perfection was twice as nice on the final day of competition in the 42nd Annual NYS Open Senior Championships at AMF Pin-O-Rama. Charles Pitts of Cortland and James Willey of Jamestown both shot 300 to close out the event.
Pitts finished with a 752 series for 2nd place in the Class C Singles. Willey ended with a 708 which has him sitting in 6th place in the Class D Doubles with his partner George Wendell.
There were also a couple of 299s shot, one by Michael Ryan of Weedsport on the way to a 775 series and Richard Lambrecht of Homer, who rolled 753.
More standouts for the day Pitts 259, Lambrecht also shot 279, Merle Foster from Rome 278 - 708, William Young of Cortland 277 - 774 David, Demperio of Syracuse 269 - 268, Bruce Duerr of Endicott 266 – 733, Edmond Furcinito of Utica 266, Michael Tryinski of Fulton 262, Charles Trudell of Syracuse 258, Gary Reynolds of Auburn 258, Timothy Lidell of New Berlin 257, John Bell of Honeoye Falls 255 and Ray Cyr of New Hartford 724.
All results are unofficial at this time. Averages and Memberships need to be verified for all walk-ins. The results and prize list will be finalized within 10 days. When the results are final they will be posted to our website. This event will move to Vista Bowling Center in Yorkville 10/16/2021 through 10/24/2021.
Our next event is the Senior Master at Rab’s Country Lanes in Staten Island on Saturday, November 7. The NYS Open Championships are at Boulevard Bowl in Schenectady 4/16/2021 through 5/16/2021. The Women’s Open Championship will be held at Tonawanda Bowling Center 4/10/2021 through 5/16/2021. Applications for all these tournaments are available on our website, www.bowlny.com.
