Wiley Shine in Afternoon Squad at the Masters

East Greenbush, NY March 6, 2021 - The New York State USBC Masters rolled into the afternoon with 59 bowlers competing in this squad. Robert Wiley from Victor pull ahead of the pack posting a 1105 for 5 games. Three of the five games were over 230, capping off the qualifying rounds.

Up next was Scott Kampf from Levittown rolling 256, 268 the last two games on his way to a 1085 for second place. Our third place finisher in this squad was Dave Jecko from Whitesboro rolling a 1084 with a high game of 246.

Other bowlers advancing to finals round were Justin Kampf (Levittown) 1076, Nick Eckert (Port Jefferson Station) 1062, Gene Speenburgh (Catskill) 1051; Connor LeClair (Cohoes) 1050, Andrew Hall (Amherst) 1046, Steve Wagoner (Albany) 1030, Nicholas Wells (Highland) 1015, Amando Jay Villa (Flushing) 1014 and Michael Rose (Fairport) 1019.

The bowlers were competing on a 40-foot challenge pattern designed by Kegel exclusively for this event. There is a second squad bowling at 1:00 also with 60 bowlers competing and top 12 advancing to the final. The winner of this event, in addition to the estimated $2000 prize check will also receive an entry into the 2022 USBC Masters along with $200 in expenses.
