Youth Team Tournament & Adult Junior Tournament Dates Finalized

Brewster, NY November 19, 2020 – As we head into the holiday season, the NYS USBC Youth Committee continues to focus on bringing the kids back to the lanes in 2021. Our next two events have be finalized and the schedules were released today.
The 52nd Annual Youth Team Tournament is the Flagship Event for the Youth Committee and highlights some of the best young talent in the state. Bowlers must compete at the one of the Regional Qualifiers with the top teams advancing to the State Finals at Strike and Spare Lanes in Syracuse on May 1, 2021.
The 4 Players Teams are separated into 3 divisions based on total team average Class A 651-900, Class B 451-650 and Class C 450 & under. Bowlers may compete in any division but only advance with one team for the State Finals. Due to COVID-19, this year only the top team in each division and overall scratch leader will be invited to Syracuse on May 1.
This year’s format for the State Finals has also changed due to COVID-19. Classes B & C will compete at 9:30 AM and Class A & the Scratch Teams will compete 1:30 PM. Also, if COVID Regulations are still in effect in May, no lunch will be served. Scholarships will be awarded at State Finals to the top teams.
Also, on tap for the first weekend in May is the 23rd Annual Adult/Junior State Championships. One of the more popular events over the last few years this tournament gives kids the chance to bowl with mom, dad or even their favorite coach. Squads are run Friday night April 30 at 7:30 & 9:30; Saturday night May 1 at 6:00 & 8:30; and Sunday afternoon at 1:00 & 2:00.
The doubles teams compete in 5 divisions, Adult Female/Junior Female; Adult Female/Junior Male; Adult Male/Junior Female; Adult Male/Junior Male Average 351 & above and Adult Male/Junior Male average 350 & under. Scholarships will also be awarded to the top teams at this event as well.

Region 4 (Chenango, Cortland, Madison, Onondaga, Oswego) – Flamingo Bowl, Liverpool – 2/27 & 2/28
Region 5 (Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence) – North Bowl, Plattsburgh – 3/6 & 3/7
Region 6 (Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Montgomery, Oneida, Saratoga, Warren, Washington) – Broadway Lanes, Fort Edward – 2/27 & 2/28; Kin Pin Lanes, Rome – 3/13 & 3/14
